For 30 years R & D Tool has been driven to become the leading provider of custom automated assembly systems for the medical, pharmaceutical, electronics and consumer goods markets. From the moment that Ray Shisler and Dave Vickery opened the doors of R & D Tool, their goal was to continually expand their automation skills as well as the processes and components they provide their customers. Some of the highlights of the growth of R & D Tool are:
   
 


 1977 - Started building tooling and fixtures in a garage shop.

 1978 - Rented a small bay in a strip building and expanded staff.

 1982 - Designing and building fixtures and small machines for one primary customer.

 1985 - Progressed into larger equipment based on customers designs.

 1989 -  Integrated Auto Cad into the design and engineering process.

 1998 - Loren Esch was put in charge of day to day operations.

 2000  -  Added full time sales staff.

 2004  - Implemented quality management system certified to ISO 9001.

 2007 - Producing turn key systems, fixtures, prototypes within the medical, consumer
